I sing because I’m happy, I sing because I’m free,
His Eye is on the Sparrow And I Know He Watches Me!
Our Adult Choir’s music ministry focuses on four key functions — leading and enlivening congregational singing, singing music that the congregation cannot, serving as a small group within the church for faith formation, and singing music that glorifies God and edifies the congregation.
Our choir practices each week through warm ups and rehearsing various songs to be sung in the near future. We concentrate on next Sunday’s music including the service hymns. We look at the components of the songs as they relate to the sopranos, altos, tenors, and bass. A bit of music appreciation, hymnal history, as well as singing lessons.
JOIN US FOR CHOIR REHEARSAL! Craig Whitaker, of Craig’s Pianos and Keyboards has graciously agreed to temporarily help fill in as our choir director as we begin to search for a permanent replacement. Choir practice will take place each Thursday at 6pm unless otherwise noted. We plan to perform during the 2nd service a few Sundays a month. If you have ever considered being part of our choir, please plan to join us!
Dr Anthony Pattin accompanies us with piano and organ. He provides great insight into the arrangements and past songs we have done.
I’d Rather Have Jesus
I Love You Lord
We do make a joyful sound and each practice includes a great time with a fun group. It’s the type of group most anyone would enjoy…so if you would like to join us, contact anyone in the choir.
Listen to Dr Anthony Pattin play a marvelous piano prelude to set the tone for our Sunday service.
