After months of hard work and dedication, First St John Lutheran Church is excited to announce the launch of our NEW website soon!
In June of 2008, we realized a website was needed at First St John Lutheran Church. {Glory to God! He knew communication was going to be vital that year.} As we started to live through COVID-19 we decided to provide worship service broadcasting and making the past recorded services available on the website. However, for the most part only changed to include the weeks worship service and the worship bulletin/announcements.
In a digital world, (and in today’s virtual world) it’s necessary to make information regarding our church easily accessible online.
Our vision for the new website:
New People
We recognize the opportunity to reach those in our community and beyond through an online presence. We want to move forward in making connections with those around us so that we might reach them with the gospel. Visitors and those searching online can now learn of Our Story, What We Believe, and how to connect with First St John either online or by planning a visit.
Members
You might have heard the expression “as our community gets bigger, we have to get smaller,” with that same idea in mind, as we grow, the number of member requests grow too! Features such as Submit a Prayer Request, Online Giving, scheduling events and connecting with others, hearing the latest FSJ News and Blog changes, and a Member Portal (coming soon) were added with you in mind.
It’s not finished. Please note that website building takes time, and ours still has unrealized dreams. We plan to expand on our Readers, VBS Team, and Faithful Journeys Blog pages, as well as to create new small group pages as the need for new groups arises, for example. The goal of the Faithful Journeys Blog is to fill it with encouraging “stories” of life change and relevant articles written by staff, leaders and members. Continue to check back to see what’s new, watch/listen to any missed sermons, or see what Events are coming up.
